If you think this article is even intelligible, you understand neither the same-sex marriage debate nor the civil rights movement.
SSM activists seek to expand freedom to citizens by broadening the definition of marriage to include same-sex couples. They do not seek special privileges; rather, they are only pursuing recognition of the well-established fact that their relationships are not inherently different from heterosexuals'.
Fundamentally, the author incorrectly believes that the existence of homosexuality infringes upon his own rights; this is inarguably false. Comparing a marriage between two consenting adults to polygamy, incest, pedophilia, bestiality, etc., is offensive and immature.
